Brooklyn Bridge Productions was created and founded by Billy Gallo. At the young age of 11, Billy was bit by the acting bug when he got a small role on a film being shot on his block in Brooklyn, where he grew up. His dream was always to go back to Brooklyn and produce a film on those very same streets with the goal of inspiring other young kids to know that it is possible to achieve their dreams.
In 2004, he achieved that dream when he raised $2.5 million dollars to write, produce, and star in the independent film “The Kings of Brooklyn”, which was shot in Brooklyn and Manhattan. The film won several awards including “Best Picture” at the New York Independent Film Festival in New York City, and “Best Drama” in the New York Independent Film Festival in Los Angeles. Other projects produced by Billy include “Strike One”, starring Danny Trejo, which won multiple awards at the Red Nation Film Festival, and the Viva Latino Film Festival in New York City, and “The Mongoose”.
Billy is currently developing several projects including “Color of the Day’, a one-hour police drama, and a bio-pic based on his childhood experiences growing up on the mean streets of Brooklyn in the 70’s.
Billy also owns the Manhattan Actor Studio in California where he teaches acting and holds table readings to develop future film and theatre projects.
